About RISK
In 2003, the student organization Risiko Initiative Stochastik Karlsruhe e.V. (RISK) was founded with the goal of providing an interactive platform bringing together university students and companies of the financial industry.
RISK’s mission to connect students of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) with potential employers of the financial sector does not only close the gap between the theoretical university and practical corporate world, but also enables students to get to know various financial companies and to build up their professional network. Thus, RISK regularly hosts workshops and discussion sessions with leading financial institutions.
Since 2007, RISK has been organizing the Banking Days taking place on the KIT Campus during one week in June. This annual event provides interested students the possibility to get in contact with prestigious companies of the financial sector and therefore offers a platform of close communication for companies and students.
Moreover, RISK constantly maintains the dialogue with current and former members of the society in order to support the exchange of experience regarding, for instance, possible applications for internships or permanent employment.
Joining RISK
As RISK has a flat hierarchy, our work is done by proactive members who take the initiative to start their own projects or work together in a group in order to realize more extensive ones. Thus, we are looking for motivated and committed students who are eager to achieve great results working in an ambitious group of students.
